Grade eight has some of our most challenging projects. These bright, young minds will put their creativity and intelligence to the test with school proposals, smart buildings, poetry analysis, and participation in a full-scale blog by year’s end.

The 8th grade blog is the final project of the year. During this challenging project, students will learn how to:
- design a profile page
- insert a heading and photo
- add a video and gif
- write all about themselves using simple, compound, and complex sentences.

The grade eight midterm project for 2023-24 was to present different aspects of poetry and present them in a poster display. Students worked in groups and divided the labor to create a true team project. To make it more interesting, they added illustrations to each poster. The most special part of the project though was the addition of QR codes which contain audio files of the students reciting poetry or explaining different forms such as blank verse, free verse, limericks, sonnets, and haiku.
