Despite a strong performance in the fourth quarter from LA, the Denver Nuggets overwhelmed the Los Angeles Lakers with a combination of size, speed, and strength and, although Lebron had a vintage 40-point game resembling his younger years, LA’s season has come to a close. This effort puts the Nuggets, who have never been to the Finals, one step closer to the Larry O’ Brien trophy they have long desired. Lebron led all scorers and put everything on the line to lead his team to victory and even at 38 years old, his stat line reads like a record book. He finished with 40 points, 10 rebounds, 4 for 7 on three point-shooting, and 9 assists putting him just one short of a triple-double. Many wonder if not just this season is over for James but perhaps his storybook career is finished as well.
